PSP Video Downloads
Getting PSP video downloads is the easy bit. Putting the PSP video on the PSP is a bit harder. There isn’t really a right way to do it as Sony didn’t make putting video on a PSP simple or straightforward. They should have done, of course. However, here’s how you can do it.
Get a PSP memory card with a lot of memory. MPEG videos are big files. They take up a lot of space and the 32Mb standard card doesn’t go far. Get at least half a gigabyte for easy downloading of clips.
Of course, you need to have access to a computer connected to the Internet. It needs to be a high-speed connection. Mac users, for once, can rest assured that this method works for them as well as for PC users.
OK, here we go…

Switch off the PSP. Connect a USB cable to both the computer and to the PSP, Switch the PSP back on and access, Settings > USB Connection. Now press the X button and boot the PSP on to the PC or Mac. It should appear on the desktop as an untitled volume. In the memory card there will be a folder named, “PSP.” Inside that folder you will see 4 sub-folders: “Games”, “Music”, “Saveddata”, and “Photo.” Time to add a new folder…
Your new folder alongside the 4 already mentioned will be called, “MP_ROOT” (without the quotes), and it will be in the same level as the “PSP” folder. You need a sub-fold3er under the “MP_ROOT” folder. Call it, “100MNV01″ (without quotes). It is in this folder that your MP4 videos and all the other files they need will be stored.
Next you need some MP4 videos. Go to a major search engine, such as Google, and do a search for “MP4 videos” (what else!). It could be a film, a music promo, or whatever. It doesn’t matter as long as it’s downloadable. When you have your PSP video downloads complete, go to Video > Memory Stick. You should see a thumbnail of the video there. Click the thumbnail and enjoy!
